It’s Sunday, the beginning of a new week so that means it’s time for a Bloggin’ Recap. A feature inspired by A Bookish Heart. Every Sunday I’ll get the chance to tell you what’s going on in my life, what I’ve posted for the week, what to expect in the upcoming week and posts I enjoyed from other bloggers.
In Real Life
I know I’ve been pretty quiet these last couple of days but it’s because I’ve been working on top secret project! I’ve been obsessing over it the last couple of days forgetting to eat, sleep and converse with fellow mankind. I’m still fine tuning some details but I think I’m ready to share my news.
I’VE MOVING TO WORDPRESS.ORG!!!!!!
That’s right! I’ve purchased a self-hosting site and have renamed my blog The Day Dreamer and Candy Eater. My former blog name was chosen sporadically and on a whim, so it wasn’t until much later that I realized the consequences of having such a long blog name. The Day Dreamer and Candy Eater still sums me up without being a tongue twister at the same time.
I’ve been thinking about moving to a self-host site for a long time now because of the freedom it entails but a gut feeling always kept me from committing. That is until Ashley @ Nose Graze created Book Host. A host designed for the convenience of book bloggers like me! I knew that this was what I had been waiting for and immediately signed up.
It’s funny because even though I planned on using Book Host I was still going to wait a bit just to make sure it was something I definitely wanted. But than Wednesday we got new furniture and sitting there on that brand new sofa, basking in its glory I had an impulsive moment. An email showed up in my mailbox stating that Book Host had officially been launched and before I knew it, I had signed up.
So these last couple of days have been dedicated to tweaking and perfecting the new site, I’ve been rather obsessive over it to be frank, which is why the content I was SUPPOSE to post this week got shoved over to next week. I’m really sorry, but if you get a new site you’ll understand, it’s addicting.
Now down to the nitty gritty, if you’re an email subscriber never fear, WordPress will transfer you over to the new subscription so you shouldn’t miss anything. I just have to contact them and then they will do all the work. Same goes with Bloglovin’ followers, as soon as I let Bloglovin’ know I moved, they transfer my followers to the new site. However if you are none of these things and simply read my posts when you see me in your reader, I urge to check out the new site and subscribe somehow, otherwise you won’t be able to find me.
I’m REALLY excited about this and I hope that you’ll follow me over there, as you all are the reason that I do this in the first place. So please go over and check out The Day Dreamer and Candy Eater and let me know what you think!
